Entered into eternal rest on the evening of October 14, 2001, W. Wilson McConnell, husband of Mary H. Williams McConnell. Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. W. Wilson McConnell are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Wednesday at 11 o'clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the Downtown Chapel.
Mr. McConnell was born in Andrews, S.C., the son of Robert Dick McConnell and Leila Forbes McConnell. He was owner of McConnell Pole Company. He was a member of West Ashley Southern Methodist Church, Franklin Lodge #96, Scottish Rite and Omar Shrine Temple.
He is survived by his wife of Charleston; one daughter, Sharon M. Moser of Charleston; one son, Mario W. McConnell of Atlantic Beach, N.C.; two sisters, Janet M. Brandt of Charleston, S.C., and Anna M. Morris of Andrews, S.C.; one brother, Charles R. McConnell of Andrews, S.C., and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Burn Unit, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.
