Mrs. J.H. (Mary) Hale, 63, died following a heart attack in a Eugene, Oreg., hospital Thursday Aug 8. Mrs. Hale was born and reared in Platte County but had resided in Eugene the past 12 years.
Mrs. Hale is survived by her husband, J.H. of the home; a son, Frank Blakely; and a daughter, Mrs. Woodrow Swafford of Hamilton; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. The funeral for Mrs. Hale was at Eugene Sunday and the body arrived in Kansas City Wednesday night. A second funeral was held today at Vaught-Aufranc Funeral home in Dearborn and burial was in Camden Point cemetery.
Mr. Hale, who underwent surgery at Eugene Tuesday, Aug. 6, was unable to attend his wife's funeral. Mr. Hale was released from the hospital Aug 10. Mrms. Franklin Blakely and family of Eugene Ore., arrived in Hamilton Tuesday morning to attend the funeral of his mother.
