Mrs. Doil Hunter, Urbana, Dies
Urbana – Mrs. Doil Hunter, 79, a lifelong resident of the Center Point and Urbana communities, died Thursday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Born March 27, 1885, at Center Point, she was married to Edwin Sawyer Oct. 12, 1904. He died in 1924. On Oct. 26, 1927, at Nashua, she was married to Sam Hunter who died in 1960. Mrs. Hunter was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Davis of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Howard Sawyer of Pine River, Minn., Merl Sawyer of Center Point and Raymond Sawyer of Ft. Smith, Ark.; a brother, Lewis Manley of Urbana; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the Christian church of Urbana. Burial will be in the Urbana cemetery. Friends may call at the Murdoch chapel in Center Point after 10 am, Friday.
