Mother of Mrs. Gibson Passes At Residence
Funeral services were conducted early this afternoon for Mrs. S.B. Bynum, age 70, mother of Mrs. S.B. Gibson, who passed away at the home of her daughter at 2003 Quintard late Saturday night after a lingering illness. Services were held at the residence, with Dr. S.O. Kimbrough, pastor of the First Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. R. H. Jones, officiating. Interment was in the Oneonta Cemetery, with Usrey in charge.
Mrs. Bynum formerly resided in Birmingham, but had made her home with her daughter here for the last 12 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Tarrant. Pallbearers were P.C. Myer, R.H. Todd, O.E, Brummel, D.C. Stewart, Archie Dishman and M.R. McDonald.
Surviving Mrs. Bynum are two daughters, Mrs. Gibson of Anniston and Mrs. J.H. Fulmer of Chattanooga; three sisters, Mrs. George Tillery of Cullman, Mrs. J.C. Bynum of Oneonta and Mrs. Frank Orr of Trafford; three brothers, W.A. Jordan, H.N. Jordan and G.W. Jordan, all of Cullman, and a granddaughter, Fleda Fulmer of Chattanooga.
Final services were conducted from the First Methodist Church at Oneonta, with the Rev. W.A. Elliott, the Rev. Wallace Murphree and the Rev. Joseph Owen officiating. Pallbearers for the services there were Edwin Bynum, Allan Jordan, Lewis Tillery, Clarence Jordan, Albert Bowen and Charlie Jordan.
