Samuel W Curtis was born in 1858 in Tennessee to Sparta and Margaret Turnbull Curtis. He married Sarah Rachel (Jane) Treat Curtis Shaffer Lewis on October 2, 1885, in Searcy, Arkansas. They had six children: James Lonzo, Mary Tennessee Curtis Bradley Perkins, Elvada Curtis Taylor, Sadie Curtis Treece, Ida Mae Curtis Mount Perkins and Silas Lewis Curtis.
In 1860, 3-year-old Samuel is living with his parents and four siblings in Richland, Missouri. In 1880, Samuel is living with my Grandparents, Andrew Jackson and Mary Ann Eaton Curtis. The censes says he is married, but this census is really messed up. It says that he is living with his brother James, which does not make sense. It states that James is married to Mary, but he is not. His brother Andrew Jackson is, but Jack is not listed on this census with them.??
Samuel is only listed on 2 census.

Samuel passed on March 7, 1898, in Marshall, Arkansas, at the age of 40, and is resting in the Marshall Cemetery.
