James Thomas Jacques, Sr., 67, of Cottageville, widower of JoAnne Jacques, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Jacques was born October 30, 1941 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Cecil Henry Jacques and Margurite E. Whitson Jacques. He was retired from Sears after thirty years of service as Service Manager. He enjoyed the game of golf.

Survivors are as follows: Sons, DeWayne T. Jacques, Sr., (Paula) of Cottageville, James T. Jacques, Jr. (Ashleigh) of Cottageville, James T. Renau (Nancy) of Floral City, Florida, Russell A. Renau (Edna) of North Charleston; daughters, Shannon R. Lopez (Joel) of Summerville, Erica A. Mishoe of Summerville, Jenny D. Mishoe of Holly Hill; grandchildren, Emily West, DeWayne Jacques, Jr., Amile Calvin West, IV, Daniel Mishoe, Alley-Nicole Mishoe, Anthony Hampleton, Nadia Lopez, Jamie Stephens, April Renau, Robbie Renau and Josh Balliet; two brothers, Roy Jacques and William Bill Jacques; and one sister, Kathy Pridgen.
A Visitation will be held this evening (11/3/2008) from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Jacques' funeral service on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 1 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville. Burial will follow at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, 3044 Old Hwy. 52, Moncks Corner.
