L. LaVern Boesdorfer, 77, of Williamsville died Friday, March 19, 1999, at home. He was born in Salisbury, Illinois, the son of William J. and Mary E. Schmidt Boesdorfer. He married Gloria Bradley in 1947 in Springfield. Mr. Boesdorfer served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. He was active in Williamsville Amvets and was a 4-h leader for many years. He was on the County Extension Board, was chairman of Lincoln Livestock Feeders Association and served as president of Williamsville School Board. He was president of the Lutheran Retirement Home Board for 13 years and was on the board of directors of Williamsville State Bank and Trucst when he died. He was a founding member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman. Survivors: wife, Gloria: four sons, Kent (wife, Joyce) of Albuquerque, N.M., Mark (wife, Ellen) of Williamsville, Illinois., Craig (wife, Vickie), of Jacksonville, Florida, and Todd (wife, Susan) of Wichita, Kansas, 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren:, three sisters, Mrs Lou (Helen) Sanchez of Lake Worth, Florida, Mrs Edward (Hazel) Golden of Petersburg and Mrs. Carl (Harriet) Renken of Auburn, and several nieces and nephews. Services at 11 a.m., Monday, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Sherman, the Rev James Stuenkel officiating. Burial: Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Illinois
