Sessions, Pearl

PONTA - Graveside services for Pearl Sessions, 89, Ponta, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Ponta, with the Rev. James Boatman officiating. Arrangements under direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mr. Sessions died Nov. 2, 2008, in Jacksonville.

He was born March 4, 1919, in Lone Star to the late Lee Roy Sessions and Lou Ella Long. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from Cherokee County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Sessions; son, Elton Sessions; and daughter, Sue Armstrong.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Sessions, Lee Roy Sessions, and Jimmy Sessions, all of Jacksonville, stepson, Donald Guinn, Jacksonville; daughters, Margaret McKinley, Henderson, Mary Martin, Whitehouse, Eva Rocha, Ponta, and Faye Martin, Flint, 23 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends 6?8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
