Funeral services for four-year-old Chad Reagan Cassity of Shreveport, LA, were conducted July 25 at Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Midyett and the Rev. Marshall McQueen officiating. Burial was at Restland Memorial Park.
Born in Carthage, TX on Feb. 5, 1976, he died July 23 in Shreveport, LA. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Cockrell Cassity of Shreveport, and by his father, Cris Reagan Cassity of Tyler, TX.
Other survivors include his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Reagan Cassity and Mr. and Mrs. John Cockrell, all of Carthage; and his great-grandparents, Mrs. Charles Cassity, Mrs. Horace Thomas and Mrs. Annie Cockrell, all of Carthage.

A Tribute to Chad

Chad, it has now been 42 years since you received your wings as an Angel. Your family members continue to miss you as much today as they did on the day you entered the Kingdom of Heaven. Your father, Chris, went to join you in Heaven this past April. And just yesterday you were very much in the thoughts of your Grandmother Ruth as she left her Earthly bonds and began rejoicing during her long awaited reunion with you and your Grandfather John. Many wonderful memories of you will always remain with your mother, Cindy, who proudly carries you in her heart. She cannot help but to grieve more on each anniversary of that tragic accident, and this year she must also contend with the passing of her mother. Someday all of your family will be reunited in Heaven; only then can all of the Earthly pains caused by your leaving be replaced by their joys of spending eternity together.
