Per obituary: Daughter of O M and Lyda Boles. Moved with her parents in her early childhood to Turon KS, and here she grew to womanhood. She was educated in the State school for the deaf at Olathe, KS and on 23 Mar 1915 she was married to Sam D Turpen. Four children came to bless this home; Mrs Josephine Snyder of Leon KS, Marvin and Rosella at home, and an infant daughter who preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted from the Turon Methodist Episcopal Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by Rev C J Kirk, the pastor, after which the body was laid to rest in the Turon Cemetery.
