Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Romain was born Feb. 17, 1919, in Yates. He served four years in the U.S. Army, where he was a cook while stationed in Hawaii. Romain loved to work for the fire department and work with his hands. He gave all of his grandchildren something that he had made. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors: Wife, Gracie Reinert; children, Edward Reinert and wife, Jane, Donna Senn, Roy Reinert and Barbara Jean Reaves; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Jo Ed Reinert and wife, Daisy; and sisters, Elsie Vergauwen and Bonnie Biddle and husband, Billy.
