He was born May 30, 1904, to Earnest and Ethel Shields. He married Beatrice E. Rector on June 9, 1928 in Kansas City Missouri.
He is survived by his wife Bea who lives in their Buena Vista home.
Interment was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Buena Vista with arrangements through Runyan Mortuary.
