Frank G. McBroom, a resident of Western Colorado since 1935, died Saturday at his home following a long illness. He was 77.
A retired miner, Mr. McBroom was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Lone Wolf, Okla , where he spent his childhood and attended schools.
He married Lena Lenard May 1, 1933, at La Junta.
Mr. McBroom moved to the Hotchkiss area in 1935. Later he moved to Palisade, where he lived until 1955. At that time he moved to Grand Junction.
His interests included hunting and square dancing.
He was a member of the Grand Junction Moose Lodge.
Funeral services for Mr McBroom will be at 10 a m. Tuesday in the McLean's Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Claude Beede officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Hotchkiss.
Friends may call for viewing at the funeral home until 8 pm. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the SL Mary's Hospital and Medical Center hospice program at P.0. Box 1628, Grand Junction, 81502..
