SHARP, MR. JERRY "JIM" - age 73 of Sharps Chapel, TN passed away February 5, 2010 at his home in Sharps Chapel after a short illness. He was a member of the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Sharps Chapel. He is preceded in death by his: father: Clayton G. Sharp; brothers-in-law: Malcolm H. Walker, Lee Beason; niece: Sandra Gail Hopson; father and mother-in-law: Ruble and Ethel Palmer. He is survived by his: loving wife of 50 years and childhood sweetheart: Betty (Palmer) Sharp; mother: Edna (Polly) Sharp; sisters: Laura Lou Walker, Bobbie Shoffner and husband J.D., Mary Ann Savage and husband Bert; nephews: Jerry Lynn Walker and wife Vickie, Keith Beason and wife Janice, Arnold Beason and wife Tammy; nieces: Penny Maples and husband Mike, Sharon McBee and husband David; several great nieces and nephews and several great great niece and nephews; special caregivers Tammy Sharp and Kathy Hatmaker; friends at Lost Creek General Store; and a host of special neighbors and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 3PM until 7PM at the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 7 PM at the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder J.C. Monday, Elder Trevor Bean and Reverend Jason Walker officiating. Music will be provided by Jerry McBee and Janice Beason. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 8 at 10AM in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Maynardville. Pallbearers: nephews and friends.
