Mrs. Elsie Dockrel Whitener Braswell died September 7 at the age of 79 years. She was born October 9, 1887 near Marquand.
She was married November 21, 1905 to Napoleon Bonaparte Braswell. He survives.
Mrs. Braswell was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church for a number of years, but transferred her membership to Marquand.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by twelve nephews and ten nieces.
Her parents; one daughter, Pearl; four brothers; and four sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were September at First Baptist Church in Marquand. Rev. Darrell Pogue conducted the rites and burial was in Whitener Cemetery with Homan Funeral Home of Marquand in charge.
