PAYSON – Gladys C. “Mac” Sanborn, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1977, in a Salt Lake City hospital after a lingering illness.
She was born Jan. 20, 1909 in Daniel, Wasatch County, to Joseph S. and Mary Melinda McDonald. She married Earl Edward Sanborn Jan. 18, 1945 at Daniel. He died June 27, 1967.
During World War II Mrs. Sanborn was a guard at Hill Field and held a paper route in Payson for 12 years.
She is survived by one son and one daughter, Otto E. of Moab; and Miss Margaret Ellen of Payson; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Payson Second-Sixth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Rigby Mortuary in Payson this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the mortuary Saturday prior to services. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
