Oveda Dodd Armstrong, 73, of Grand Prairie, formerly of Andrews, passed away at her home in Grand Prairie.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Andrews West Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Braswell of Odessa will officiate. Services are directed by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
Oveda was born November 28, 1934 in Houston, Texas. She married W.J. Jiggs Armstrong July 21, 1949 in Jal, NM.
She worked as a letter carrier for 3 years, and owned the Florey Store north of Andrews for 9 years. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose lodge.
She is survived by one son - Jack Armstrong of Odessa; two daughters - Donna Chambers of Andrews and Stacy Patton of Grand Prairie, Texas; one sister - Oweda Meeks of Cottenwood, California; and six grandchildren.
