Sam Windham's Funeral in Oplin

CLYDE (RNS) – Funeral for Sam Windham, 71, will be held at 10 am Wednesday in the Oplin Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan L. Galnes, officiating.

The Oplin resident died at 6:45 pm Monday in Abilene's St. Ann Hospital. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery with Bailey Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Windham was born in April 1893, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Windham, in Callahan County's Oplin community. He married Pearl Watson at Clovis, N. M. in 1925. He was a member of the Oplin Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Oplin; four sons, Robert, Billy Ray and Tommy of Oplin and Hal of Denton Valley; two daughters, Ginger Goble of Cross Plains, and Joan Odom of Rt. 2 Baird; three brothers, Ernest and Frank of Baird and Tommy of Oplin; two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Jordan and Mrs. Charlie Straley, both of Oplin; and several nephews and nieces.
