Marietta Windham, 81, of Oplin, who served as a volunteer with the Hendrick Medical Center Auxiliary for 20 years, died Friday at her residence.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, with Revs. Dan Burrow and Riley Fuggitt officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Born in Coleman County, Mrs. Windham attended Novice High School. She was a homemaker and a past president of the Baird Wednesday Club. She was a member of the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs, serving in various offices and committees. She was awarded a Lifetime membership in Mesquite District. She also was in the General Federation of Women's Clubs. She served as a Sunday school teacher at the Oplin Baptist Church and was the widow of Tom Windham.
Survivors include one daughter, Paula Windham of Oplin; and several nieces and nephews.
