Augustine Windham
Augustine Windham, 80, former postmistress at Oplin, died in Carlsbad, N. M., Saturday. Burial will be at 2 pm Tuesday in Tecumseh Cemetery under direction of Elliott's Funeral home.
She was born August 14, 1891, in Coleman, and had been a resident of Carlsbad the past two years moving there following 2 years in Lampasas. She was a member of the Lometa Baptist Church, Lometa, Texas.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. R. T. Wright of Carlsbad N.M.; two brothers, H. B. Straley of Lampasas and Charlie Straley of Oplin; four sisters, Mrs. Cleo Lawles (Lawler?), Mrs. Tom McIntyre of Rolls, Mrs. Leslie Davis of Lampasas and Mrs. John Windham of Midland. She was preceded in death by her husband Forrest Windham.
