Mrs. Wilkerson's Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. T. W. Wilkerson, 79, of Abilene for the last 10 years, will be held 2:30 pm Saturday at the Oplin Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. G. C. Williams, officiating.
Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, between Oplin and Dudley. Arrangements will be in charge of Elliott's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilkerson died of a heart attack at 6:30 am Thursday at her home, 1702 Portland Ave. She had been seriously ill for three weeks.
She was born the former Katie Eudora Pylant Jan. 26, 1873, in Hamilton and would have celebrated her 80th birthday on Jan. 26. She was married in 1908 in Ellis county.
She moved from Scurry County to Oplin in Callahan County in 1917. Her husband retired as a farmer 10 years ago and moved the family here.
Mrs. Wilkerson was a member of the Oplin Methodist Church.
Survivors are the husband; six daughters, Mrs. Vesta Seymoure, Sudan, Mrs. E. L. Garner, Abilene, Mrs. Truman Nichels, Redlands, Calif., Mrs. Katie Lou Preston, Abilene, Mrs. Faye Lowe, Redlands, Calif., and Mrs. Lethan Lahue, Pie Town, N. M.; three sons, Claude of Oplin, Fletcher of Oplin, and Blanton of Coleman.
