Abilene – Billie Whitford
Billie Frances Whitford, 39, of Rt. 2, Clyde, died at 11:30 pm Wednesday at Dyess AFB Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory. Bill Proctor, Minister of Dudley Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial in Tecumseh Cemetery.
Born July 15, 1938, in Oplin, she married Richard D. Whitford in July 1957 in Abilene. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Deadra of the home; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Steve Carroll of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Jimmy Beard and Karen Whitford, both of Abilene; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Preston of Rt. 2 Clyde.
She was preceded in death by two children. The family will be at the home of her parents.
