On August 24, 1903, Mary Brockbank Lambourne was born to Sarah Andrus and James William Park Brockbank in Holladay, Utah.

Mary, age 99, returned to our Heavenly Father December 11, 2002 in Holladay, Utah.

Our Mother enjoyed the loving companionship of her older sister, Florence Medley and brothers, Rulon and Byron. She was introduced early in her youth to help with the farm chores. Her father taught his children "that hard work never hurt anyone."

Mary's mother taught her daughters the skills of being efficient home makers. Mother enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She loved her gardens of fruit, vegetables and flowers. She met her eternal companion Owen Clifton Lambourne, soon after he returned from serving in the Navy during World War I.

Mother and Dad were married on June 29, 1921, in the Salt Lake Temple and had been married for 77 years when her husband passed away Aug. 19, 1998, also at age 98.

They were blessed with five children, Grant who died in infancy, Wayne (Elizabeth) Lambourne, LaVerne (Gail) Jenkins, Elaine (Richard) Boyer and Gerald (Louise) Lambourne.

Mary had a great love for the Savior and she will always be remembered for her strong testimony of the Gospel. Mom served in many church positions and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her favorite pastime was hand quilting beautiful quilts for her family.

Our Mother is survived by her four children, their spouses, twenty-three grandchildren, 81 great-grand-children and 30 great-great-grand-children who adored and loved spending special time with their grandma; two sisters-in-law, Grace Brockbank and Rae Brockbank.
