E. F. Becker, Oplin, Dies

BAIRD (HNS)- E. F. Becker, 81, of Oplin, died Thursday morning in Vernon following a brief illness.

Born Feb. 12, 1878 near Tecumseh, Mr. Becker had lived in Callahan County around the Oplin community most of his life.

He had worked as a ranch employee most of his life.

Mr. Becker was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three sons: Fred of Fort Worth, Rudolph of Lamesa, Calif., and Carl of Walland, Tenn.; two daughters, Hazel and Minnie, both of San Angelo; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Goosenburg and Mrs. Nancy Goosenburg; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral will he held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Wylie Funeral Chapel in Baird with George Snure minister of the Baird Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.
