Obituary
Roy Lawson Armor, 86, a resident of the Tecumseh community near Abilene and a longtime rancher, died at 1 pm Sunday at West Texas Medical Center. Services will be 2 pm Monday at the Highway 36 Church of Christ.
Ed Headrick, minister of the Highway Church of Christ, will officiate assisted by Bill Eason, minister of the Oplin Church of Christ.
Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery under direction of the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
Born March 5, 1888, in McCullough County, he married Dushie Holloway in 1910. The couple moved to Oplin in Callahan County in 1915 and to Tecumseh in 1916.
He was a member and an elder in the Highway 36 Church of Christ.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Lawson Armor of Tecumseh; a brother A. H. Armor of Novice; a sister Mrs. Lela Reid of Lawn; three grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Chrane, Gary Chrane, Leamon E. Hayhurst, Jay Hayhurst, Lowell Johnson and Howard Johnson.
