Byron W. Hart, 76, route 2, Convoy, Ohio, a native of Adams County, died at 7:45 p.m. Monday (Ohio time) in Convoy Care Center after a short illness.
He was born in Adams County on March 9, 1913 to Wilson and Ethyl Funk Hart and married the former Pauline Miller on March 7, 1936; she survives.
He worked for 36 years at Decatur's Central Soya plant and was a member of Mt. Victory United Brethren in Christ Church in Adams County.
Other survivors include three sons, James L. Hart, 121 N. 15th St.; Robert B. Hart, Lima, Ohio; and Garry E. Hart, Leesburg, Florida; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. One sister, Ruth, is deceased.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday (Ohio time) in Stainfield Funeral Home, Convoy, Ohio, Rev. James Preece officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Convoy. Visiting hours at the funeral home are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Friday (Ohio time). Preferred memorials are to either Mt. Victory UB Church or Convoy EMS.
