MORGAN BILLINGTON DIES IN VETERAN'S HOSPITAL

W. Morgan Billington, 63, of Texico died Tuesday, Aug. 28, in the Veteran's Hospital in Albuquerque, following a long illness. Mr. Billington was born Nov. 11, 1909, in Eric, Okla.

Services were to be Thursday at 2 p.m. MDT at First Baptist Church in Texico, with Rev. John Summers officiating assisted by Rev. Cliff Ennen. Burial was to be in Texico Cemetery. Steed-Todd Funeral Home was in charge.

Pallbearers were to be W. D. Howard, Johnnie Chappell, Bill Boling, Melvin Venable, Frank Jones and Silas Jones.

Mr. Billington was a retired water superintendent. He was a member of the Texico Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post No. 25.

Survivors are his wife, Ophelia; one son, Bill of San Antonio; one daughter, Jill Armstrong of Canyon; a granddaughter, Michelle Dee Armstrong; sisters, Inez Montgomery and Juanita Mussetti, both of California; brothers, Sterlyn of Farwell, Victor of Lubbock and Jim of Phoenix, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
