Mr. Rhodes , a Mecklenburg County native, retired as assistant vice president and board member of Lance Inc. He was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and N.C. State University and had attended the University of Virginia. He was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Temple Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies. He also was a certified lecturer and an Army veteran.
Survivors are his son, Glenn Rhodes III; father, Glenn Garrison Rhodes Sr. of Matthews; brothers, Ed Rhodes of Franklinville, Dave Rhodes of Millers Creek; sisters, Mrs. Jean Clower of Chattanooga, Tenn., Mrs. Jan Penny, Mrs. Joanne Hayes; two grandchildren. Mr. Rhodes was preceded in death by his mother Florence Erwin Rhodes.
