FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR ARTHUR O. ARNOLD

Funeral services for Arthur Otto Arnold, 86, of Texico, were conducted at 2 p.m CDT Sunday from the Church of Christ in Farwell, with James W. Wilbanks officiating. Burial followed in the Texico Cemetery.

Mr. Arnold died Thursday, March 6, in a nursing home in Clovis. He was born on March 28, 1888 in Wood County, Tex., and had resided in Texico since 1944. Mr. Arnold worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a custodian and retired 16 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Farwell.

Survivors include his wife, Vada, of the home at 109 S. Griffin in Texico; four sons, Curtis of Leander, Tex.; Donald of Lakewood, Colo.; Ernest of Texico; and Benny of Idalow, Tex.; four daughters, Mr. Amos Strebeck of Marthaville, La.; Mrs. Sam Hukill of Melrose; Mrs. Ralph McCrary of Littleton, Colo.; and Mrs. M. E. Tipton of Roswell; one sister, Mrs. Dollie Dickerson of Denison, Tex.; 37 grandchildren; and 42 great grandchildren.

Grandsons of Mr. Arnold served as pallbearers. Steed-Todd Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
