He was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Lamesa, Texas, to Basilio Ancira Sr. and Dolores Vasquez Ancira.
Ancira came to Clovis in 1986 and married Adriana Hernandez on March 6, 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church of clovis.
He is survived by Adriana Ancira of Clovis; six sons, Samuel D. Ancira, Isaac Ancira and Mike Ancira, all of Clovis, Basilio Ancira III of Lufkin, Texas, Robert Ancira of Clintonville, Wis., and Aldolfo Hernandez of Corrigan, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Clark of Fort Worth, Texas, and Alice A. Tamez of Diboll, Texas; five brothers, Isaac Ancira and Jerry Ancira, both of Clovis, Jimmy Ancira of Anthony, N.M., Moises Ancira Sr. of Friona, Texas, and David Ancira of Farwell, Texas; three sisters, Rebecca Forsythe of Clovis, Susie Moore of Belen and Gloria Escobedo of Friona, Texas; and 18 grandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Texico.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Texico. The Rev. Moises Ancira Sr. will officiate.
Burial will be at Texico Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Ancira Jr., Basilio Ancira III, Samuel D. Ancira, Robert Ancira, Isaac Ancira and Mike Ancira.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Texico.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home.
