Mrs. Leona Carver died about four o'clock p.m. Wednesday, July 5th, 1922 at her home in Sparta. Funeral services and burial was held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Carver was in all probability the oldest person in southwest Missouri, being at the time of her death, 114 years old according to the best record obtainable.
