MRS. HAYES DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
Mrs. O. B. Hayes of this city died last Friday, Aug. 18, 1922, at about 7 o'clock, at her home after a short illness of pleural pneumonia, aged 64 years and 6 months.
Elnora Estella Dyer was born Feb 18, 1858, at Hastings, Minnesota, and was married to O. B. Hayes Aug. 16, 1885. To this union three children were born - Walter - who preceded her to the Great Beyond - Grace, now Mrs. Willis Brownlow, and Clifford who resides here. The husband, two children and their families were at her bedside when she died.
The funeral services were held Sunday at 2 pm at the residence, the Rev. Wm. Hoskins officiating. Mrs. Geo. Hylton sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and Nearer My God to Thee." Burial was made in the Leavenworth cemetery. The many beautiful floral offerings showed the esteem in which Mrs. Hayes was held, and the family have the sympathy of the whole community.
