Olaf Gullingsrud 1868-1953

Funeral services will be held this afternoon for Olaf Gullingsrud, 85, who passed away at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital Monday, March 2. The services will be held in the Clearwater Lutheran Church at Shevlin with the Rev. C.W. Hanson officiating. Burial will be made in the Bagley Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Olaf Gullingsrud was born at Ness, Hallingfal, Norway, on January 13, 1868, the son of Ole and Kari Gullingsrud. He was married to Jennie Haug at Edinburg, North Dakota, and ten children were born to them. His wife, three sons and two daughters preceded him in death.
Survivors are four sons, Theodore of Bemidji; Henry and Alvin of Edinburg, North Dakota, Elmer of Renton, Washington; and one daughter (Clara) Mrs. henry Underbakke of Shevlin.
Mr. Gullingsrud had been a farmer for most of his life and had lived west of Bagley until it was necessary that he discontinue farming because of old age.
Pallbearers at the funeral service were Conrad Paulson, Sigrid Eldevik, Clifford Lunde, Nels Adamson, Alfred Sollom and Ted Sollom
