Billy Ray Owens, 18, was killed Sunday when his vehicle wrecked on U.S. Hwy 31 about 10 miles north of Athens.
Final rites were conducted this morning at 11 a.m. at the Riddle Chapel. McConnell Service Funeral Home directed the interment in the City Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Owens Jr.; three sisters, Miss Bobby Jane Owens, Mrs. Nancy Marks and Mrs. Patsy Ann Sutton; and one brother, Jimmy Owens.
