Mrs. lucy Houston, 94, of 66 Washington St., died Monday.
She was born in Poland Oct. 12, 1882, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Sokouski) Schopinski. An area resident the last 81 years, she was a charter member of the St. Elizabeth Society of the former Church of the Nativity and was a member of Holy Trinity Church. Her husband John L. Houston pre-deceased her and is buried with her.
She is survived by a son, George W., Winter Park, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Cotton, Hyde Park, and Mrs. Florence J. Mabie, Poughkeepsie, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grand-nephews.
