KUHLEN--Kuhlen Dies - Funeral services for Charles Kuhlen, 75, who died this morning at St. Mary Hospital are pending at McKown Funeral Home. Kuhlen was a native of the Platte Center area and had been living at Columbus Manor prior to his hospitalization.

KUHLEN--Charles J. Kuhlen funeral Thursday
Charles J. Kuhlen, 75, Platte Center farmer, died Monday in St. Mary Hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic church, Platte Center, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Msgr. Floyd F. Fischer will officiate.
Scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home, where the body will lie in state after 1 p.m. that day.
Son of the late Bernard and Elizabeth Tapken Kuhlen, he was born Nov. 3, 1894 at Platte Center, where he was a lifetime resident. He attended St. Anthony School.
Surviving are one brother, Henry of Platte Center; four sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Katherine) Ryan of Newport Beach, Calif., Mrs. Mary Schumacher, Mrs. Bertha Schumacher and Mrs. Lucy Langan, all of Columbus. One sister, Clara, died in infancy.

KUHLEN--Last Rites - For Charles J. Kuhlen, 75, who died Monday, were Thursday at St Joseph's Church, Platte Center, with Msgr. Floyd F. Fisher officiating. Burial was in St Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leon Kuhlen, Jack Schumacher, Warren P. Melliger, Walt Schumacher Jr., John Hart and Don Otterpohl. McKown Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
