Ethel was the oldest of twelve children born to Charles W. and Minnie Lee Sisson Randall. Her family moved to Laurel when she was still a young girl and she grew up at the home place on 10th Avenue.

On March 5, 1911 she married Noel Riley McKee and they were parents to seven children. Ethel lived next door to her parents home and reared her children there. Her younger siblings were the ages of her oldest children.

Ethel was always the "big sister" and "second mom" to her brothers and sisters especially after the death of their parents since she always lived near or at the old homeplace.

She had the following children 1) Nelda Lee McKee (died as a small child); 2) Paul Odis McKee; 3) Charles Isaac McKee; 4) Ellen Louise McKee; 5) Noel William McKee (died as an infant); 6) Clarence Riley McKee; and 7) Catherine Virginia McKee.

Ethel passed away on November 19, 1969 in Laurel, Mississippi. She was a special lady who loved her family and truly enjoyed the time she spent with her children & grandchildren.
