Jacob Herman Jacobs later married the widow Sarah Anna (Wiegands) Unzicker on March 30, 1922 in Livingston County, Illinois. She survived his death. No children were born of this marriage.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church and farmed in Rooks Creek Township and Pontiac Township for many years.
His funeral with burial following in Rooks Creek Cemetery, Pontiac, Livingston County, Illinois, were held on January 2, 1964.
