Louisa emigrated to the U.S. with her mother in 1874. Her father had died in Sweden a few years prior. In 1880 she married Antone Jeppeson. A year later, in April of 1881, she delivered a baby boy who they named James Anthony Jeppeson. She lived less than a month following the birth of her baby, and the baby died in July. She was only 21 years old.
