The army charged him $1.39, a second time $1.15, a third time $2.33, and a forth time paid $21.15 for lost ordnance and other equipment. He was hospitalized at the post hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, April - June 1865, detached to duty there as of July 5, and honorably discharged with his company August 29, 1865.
In 1880, he was a hostler living in Chambersburg, Franklin County, Pennsylvania.
