Alice M Eckard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Eckard of Dry Run, died at 4.10 o'clock Sunday morning at the Nason hospital at Roaring Spring. Death was attributed to complications resulting from a delicate surgical operation which she underwent at that institution last Monday. The young woman had not been in good health for some time.

She was born at Sugar Run, Allegheny township, Blair county, on Nov. 25, 1906, a daughter of Samuel and Laura Eckard. The parents and the following brothers and sisters survive: Clarence E. Eckard of Dry Run, John W. Eckard of Garden Heights, Samuel E. Eckard of Dry Run, Mrs. Grace Hite of Greenwood and George E. Eckard, at home.

She was a faithful member of the Hicks Memorial Methodist church of Duncansville, where the funeral service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock by her pastor, Rev. L. D. Ott.

Interment will be made in Carson Valley cemetery. The body has been removed to her parental home at Dry Run.
