The death of Mrs James Terrel carried the inevitable shock to the community that like tidings ever bring. The end came about two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, March 6.
Minnie Francis Norcross was born at Princeton, Mo, Jan 31, 1879, and came to this country with her parents when sixteen years of age. She was married Nov 25, 1897, to James W Terrel. To this union two children were born, Buel and Cleo. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her kind and loving husband and two children, her aged father and mother, Mr and Mrs Wm Norcross, one sister, Mrs Walter Young, three brothers, Loren Norcross of Ponca City, Charley and Andrew Norcross of Watonga and many other relatives and friends.
Mrs Terrel was a kind, loving and devoted wife and mother, a true friend and an exceptionally kind neighbor. She will not only be missed by her family but will be missed by all who knew her. The amazing patience of the departed one cannot be expressed, but through the merciful interventions of God, her sufferings are over. May we face God with the serenity that was hers.
The funeral services were held at the home at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev Venable. Interment was made in the Highland cemetery.
