DR. HOMER O. HITCHCOCK
KALAMAZOO, Mich., Dec. 8 - Special Telegram. - Dr. Homer O. Hitchcock, since 1856, a resident of this city, and probably the most widely-known physician of Michigan, died early this morning, aged 61. In 1871, he was President of the Michigan State Medical Society, and in 1873, helped organize the Michigan State Board of Health, of which he was President for four years. He was a member of the American Public Health Association and the American Medical Society, representing the latter as delegate in the British Medical Association at Brighton, England, in 1886. He leaves a widow, three sons and one daughter.
