MRS. MARGRET BENNETT.
Mrs. Margaret A. Bennett, who died recently in California and was buried in this city this afternoon, was the youngest daughter and one of eleven children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson, who came to America in 1819. from Lanark, Scotland. She was born in Manson. Mass. March 16, 1832. The family moved to Wisconsin territory in 1844, settling near Racine, at a place called Thompsonville after Robert Thompson. Margaret A. Thompson and James Callenda Bennett were married in 1853. They moved to Kalamazoo in 1862, living for a time at 718 west Main, later building a home at 926 west Main. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1903. Mr. Bennett died in 1905. Mrs .Bennett spent the last year and a half with her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Brooks, in Los Angeles and La Canada, and with her sister, Mrs. J. P. Cadman, in San Diego. She died last week at La Canada and was brought to this city for interment in the family lot in Mountain Home. She is survived by a brother, four children. Mrs. E. H. Brooks. Mrs. C. J.
