Pauline B. Wackerlin, 82, of Oswego, passed away on October 20, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1925 in Plainfield, IL to Peter and Elizabeth (Bohr) Frieders. Pauline graduated from Madonna Catholic High School, the class of 1944. She married the late Ralph G. Wackerlin on July 20, 1945. Pauline was the matriarch of the family. Mother of nine, grandmother of 44, and great grandmother of 34. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to all, related or not.

Pauline was a charter member of St. Anne Parish and a member of the Blue Army of our Blessed Virgin Mary. She was also a busy bee Rosary maker for years. Pauline enjoyed traveling, baking, reading and coin collecting but her happiest memories were spent with her family and friends. She will be loved and missed by many.

She is survived by her nine children, Robert (Debbie), Roy (Margaret), Ronald (Susan), Richard (Wendy), Jane Barnhart (Bruce Whitt), Russell (Beth), Ralph (Sue), Jennifer (Bob) Lunn and Randall Wackerlin, and siblings; Jeanette Patterman, Rita Kiefer, Ernie (Mary) Frieders, Albert (Norma) Frieders, Loretta (Joe) Spalding and Joseph (Patricia) Frieders.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph George, Sr; her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Frieders; her daughter-in-law, Linay Wackerlin; her sisters, Elizabeth Baumann, Marian Bertrang; and five brothers-in-laws, Henry Baumann, Eugene Patterson, John Kiefer, Carl Christoffel, Paul Patterman; and one niece, Debra Frieders.

Family will be receiving guests from 4:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary open to the public at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway Ave., Montgomery, IL. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday October 23rd at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60538. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 30 N. Michigan suite 2015 Chicago, IL 60602.
