Joseph L. Ingersoll, 69, 126 North Adams Street, died Wednesday in Blackford County Hospital. Mr. Ingersoll was born in Worthington, was a cattle salesman and manager of Montpelier Branch of Producers Marketing Association before retiring in 1989. He was a member of Worthington United Methodist Church and Millard-Brown American Legion Post 156, former precinct committeeman and former member of Area Planning and Zoning Board. He was an avid golfer. He attended two years at Indiana University-Purdue University Extension Campus and was a World War II Navy veteran. He graduated from Worthington High School in 1944. His parents Charles L. and Nell Jean Worthington are deceased. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jan c. Hammond Ingersoll; a son, Douglas Ingersoll, Indianapolis; a daughter, Vicki Kelly (husband Dave), Indianapolis; a brother, Robert J. Ingersoll, Worthington; and eight grandchildren. Services were held Saturday in Walker and Glancy Funeral Home. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Montpelier E.M.S. or the Brass Latch.
