Esther M. Regan, 73, of Leavenworth, died Tuesday afternoon (March 9, 1999) in the Cascade Medical Center.

She was born Esther M. Brownlow on Oct. 26, 1925 to Willis and Grace (Hayes) Brownlow at Leavenworth, where she grew up and received her early education, graduating from Leavenworth High School in 1943.

On Feb. 14, 1947 she married Melvin Regan at Wenatchee. They moved to Metaline Falls in 1950 and to Cashmere in 1958. In 1960, they moved to Seattle and in 1968 they returned to Cashmere. In 1977, Esther moved to Leavenworth.

She was a member of the Leavenworth Seventh-day Adventist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Metaline Falls.

Esther is survived by a son, Gary Regan of Lake Forest Park and a daughter, Caroline Grant of Sand Point, ID; two sisters, Joy Daniels of Auburn and Leona Avey of Leavenworth; one brother, Loren Brownlow of Leavenworth; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A Service of Commemoration will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon, March 13, 1999 at the gravesite in the Mt. View Cemetery, with Pastor Andrew Fleming officiating. Friends wishing to make visitation may call at the Ward's Funeral Chapel Friday between 12 and 7 p.m.

Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth is in charge of the arrangements.
