Albert married Irene Leticia Gibson on January 11, 1887, at the home of George and Lizzie Clarke, in Adams County, Mississippi. She passed away in September 1895, only 3 days after his 5 year old son Albert (Buddy) passed away. At that time his Methodist circuit was near Jackson, Louisiana. Their burial location is unknown. Albert is buried next to his only granddaughter, Irene Ogburn Gray, and his only surviving child, Abbie Irene Flowers Ogburn.
