VALE, Ore. — Services for Herta Regina Stanke Rose, 65, of 573 W. Main St. Vale. who died Tuesday at the home of a daughter in Washington Terrace, Utah, will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Lindquist and Son Colonial Chapel, Ogden, Utah, by Bishop Jack W. Walker of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Valleyview Cemetery, Vale.
She was born May 25, 1915, in Madison, Neb., to Emil Franz Rudolph and Martha Zeuge Stanke. She attended school in Meridian. She married George Allen Rose on Nov. 11, 1933, in Meridian. He died Feb. 18, 1968. She was a food processer for Ore-Ida Frozen Foods Division. She was a secretary for a Vale real estate and Insurance company for 22 years, and was owner of Herta's Mountain View Insurance Co. in Vale. She was a member of the LDS Church and the Vale and Malheur County Parent-Teacher Association. She had been president of the Vale Women's Club and was a charter member and former secretary of the Futura Secretary Association.
Survivors include a son, John Rose of Vale; a daughter. Mrs. Dan (Joan) Reeder of Washington Terrace; a brother, Fred Stanke of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. E S. (Irene) Clough of Boise; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Lindquist and Son Colonial Chapel.
