VIOLA KING Passed away in Alameda on July 28, 2004, at the age of 89. Wife of the late Richard J. King. Mother of Judith Mathews of Del Mar, CA, and the late Walter King. Grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Her longtime friend Frank McCormick preceded Viola in death. Viola was a native of Lincoln, CA, and a longtime resident of Alameda. She was a former member of the Alameda Eagles Auxiliary. Viola was a graduate of Alameda High School. Friends and family are invited to attend Eagles Auxiliary services Sunday, August 1, 2004, at 3:30 p.m. to be immediately followed by vigil services at GREER FAMILY MORTUARY, 2694 Blanding Ave., Alameda. Funeral liturgy Monday, August 2, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the parish of St. Albert the Great, Holly and Mecartney, Bay Farm Island, Alameda. Visitation Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the mortuary chapel.
